Đại dương từ lâu đã là một nơi hấp dẫn cho nhiều người khám phá, nhưng các sinh vật sống trong đó còn hấp dẫn hơn nhiều so với vùng nước sâu. Có rất nhiều sự sống chưa được khám phá dưới nước. Mặc dù chúng ta biết nhiều hơn về cuộc sống trên cạn, nhưng hiểu biết của chúng ta về sinh vật biển cho đến nay còn rất hạn chế.
Những người chiến thắng giải thưởng Ocean Photography Awards 2022 đã được công bố vào tháng 9/2022. Theo trang web chính thức, giải thưởng này là một sự tôn vinh và nâng cao nhận thức về các đại dương trên hành tinh của chúng ta và sẽ quyên góp 20% lợi nhuận thu được từ cuộc thi cho việc bảo tồn các đại dương.
Giải thưởng quy tụ những người nghiệp dư và chuyên nghiệp để tôn vinh tầm quan trọng của sinh vật biển. Trong tất cả các hạng mục, có tổng cộng chín người chiến thắng.
